How is Sorahana Photography different than a typical photography studio?
I offer you a custom, boutique photography experience from start to finish! I want you to have photography that says something about who you are and has your personality shining through. I want you to be able to look at your family session and say “that is our family, how we really are”. I want children, teens, and seniors to look back at their session and say “that is me, and I love who I am” and “I am beautiful, no matter what anyone else says”. My goal with your session is to capture you being yourself and to make you proud of who you are.
What is the Sorahana Experience like?
The experience starts off when you inquire about a session, from the start your session will be about you. I will set up a consultation with you (either over the phone, e-mail, or in person). We’ll talk about what you want to get out of your session, and what you envision your session being like. (If you decide to book a session with me, this would be the time that we would book your session date).
After we book your session, I will set up a “meet and greet” with you. This second meeting is so we can get to know each other, we can discuss outfit choices and location options, we can share our visions for the session with each other, and if you have younger children this also gives them a chance to get to know me so everyone can be relaxed and be comfortable the day of your session.
The day of your session is a day to feel relaxed and comfortable. I want you to have fun and be what you can be best: you!
I will get in touch with you (about a week after your session) after I have individually edited the pictures from your session to set up an ordering appointment. We will have the ordering appointment in the comfort of your own home! At this time, we will have some goodies to snack on while I show you a slideshow set to music of your session. I will have samples available of the different types of wall art, prints, and products I offer at your ordering appointment.
After we place your order, it will take from one to three weeks to arrive. I will get in touch with you and hand deliver your order to you!
*Additionally, if you’d like to share your session with friends and family (and allow them to order as well) after your ordering session, arrangements can be made to have an online gallery posted.
